• 23% Vin Doux Naturel (fortified wine) casks

• Nose: Malty sweetness, ripe orchard fruits, sultanas, and floral notes.
• Palate: Sweet with honey, caramel, biscuits, and a hint of spice.
• Finish: Long and oily with a kick of spice that turns dry.

This edition, part of Waterford’s Single Farm Origin series, emphasizes the unique terroir of Bannow Island. Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2020, Bannow Island 1.2 was aged four months longer than its predecessor, adding depth and complexity to its flavor profile. The varied cask maturation enhances the whisky’s character, showcasing the influence of the farm’s coastal environment on the barley used.
