After 4 successful Fettercairn Warehouse 2 bottlings, Distillery Manager Stewart Walker felt it was time to put another warehouse through its paces. He came, he searched…and he found some barrels suitable to start another chapter in the Warehouse Series.
We are therefore proud to present to you the Fettercairn Warehouse 14 Batch 1: a vatting of ex-bourbon barrels and refill bourbon barrels, but also 12% ex-beer barrels (a local beer from the Highlands)! In addition, this reference is 51.2% strong. The renewed Fettercairn range is consistent in quality across the entire line, and the Warehouse 14 Batch 1 from one of their traditional dunnage warehouses also honors this trend, sláinte!
Flavor profile
Nose: vanilla, tropical fruit, honey and floral charm.
Mouth: warm, toasty maltiness, tropical fruits with layers of creme caramel, apricot tart, cocoa and soft wood spice
Finish: full and complex (partly due to the filling at 51.2%) with a pleasant, nutty aftertaste.
