The Dream & The Church – Where It All Began…

It has been a few years now, but our paths first crossed in 2017. At the time, Tom was living in Anderlecht, while I was living in Limburg. Before long, I moved in with him, but the Brussels district of Cureghem came with its fair share of challenges. I never really felt at home there.

At the same time, we started dreaming out loud. I longed to have a dog again, while Tom was determined to turn his passion for fine spirits into something more.

Brussels soon proved too expensive for the kind of space we had in mind. Then one day, while enjoying a beer in a church that had been converted into a brewery in East Flanders, Tom said: "If we can find a unique building like this, I'll move out of Brussels immediately."

The very next day, I started searching... and we found the former Ten Broek Church in Sint-Genesius-Rode, which was for sale! On 24 June 2019, we went to see it for the first time. It was love at first sight.
