Description

One cask. Two spirits. Three expressions.

The Trinity Box is an exclusive Box Bizar creation bringing together whisky, Champagne and French oak in one exceptional trilogy.

At its heart is a Champagne cask from the Montagne de Reims, sourced from the Forêt d’Exception area. This French oak cask gave a 15-year-old Glen Garioch Single Malt a second life through 2 years and 9 months of finishing. The result is reunited in the Trinity Box with the original whisky and the Champagne that once inhabited the cask.

Three bottles. One story. From original, through transformation, to origin.

01 — The Original

Glen Garioch 15 Years Old · 57%

A 15-year-old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Glen Garioch, bottled at a powerful 57% ABV.

This whisky has been matured exclusively in 100% bourbon casks throughout its entire maturation. No finish, no additional cask influence: this is the original Glen Garioch on which the further journey of the Trinity Box is based.

Technical specifications

  • Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • Glen Garioch Distillery
  • Age: 15 years
  • Maturation: 100% bourbon cask
  • Alcohol: 57% ABV

02 — The Transformation

Glen Garioch 15 Years Old · Champagne Cask Finish

The same 15-year-old Glen Garioch then begins an extraordinary second chapter.

After its original maturation, the whisky was finished for no less than 2 years and 9 months in a French oak Champagne cask from the Montagne de Reims – Forêt d’Exception.

A finish of almost three years is exceptionally long, allowing the Champagne cask to become far more than a surface influence and to genuinely become part of the whisky’s character.

Technical specifications

  • Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
  • Glen Garioch Distillery
  • Age: 15 years
  • Original maturation: 100% bourbon cask
  • Finish: 2 years and 9 months
  • Finishing cask: French Oak Champagne Cask
  • Cask origin: Montagne de Reims – Forêt d’Exception
  • Alcohol: 57% ABV

This is not a conventional whisky finish lasting just a few months, but a long-term cask transformation, in which the French oak and its former contents give the Glen Garioch a new dimension.

03 — The Source

Champagne Boutillez-Marchand Écrin N°1

The story ends where it began: with the Champagne.

Écrin N°1 from Boutillez-Marchand is a 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs, made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Villers-Marmery in the Montagne de Reims.

The cuvée is vinified entirely in oak and then undergoes extended ageing on its fine lees. The producer is known for combining Chardonnay from this distinctive terroir with oak ageing, making Écrin N°1 a particularly gastronomic Champagne.

Technical specifications

  • Champagne Boutillez-Marchand
  • Cuvée: Écrin N°1
  • 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs
  • 100% Chardonnay
  • Origin: Villers-Marmery, Montagne de Reims
  • Vinification in oak
  • 12 months élevage in barrique
  • Followed by 36 months ageing ‘sur lattes’
  • Extra Brut

The combination of Chardonnay, limestone- and flint-rich soils and oak ageing gives this Champagne a distinctive character and makes it the ideal third component of the Trinity Box.

The Trinity

The strength of the Trinity Box lies not only in the three individual bottles, but in the connection between them.
