Glen Grant Distillery

John and James Grant founded Glen Grant Distillery in 1840 in Rothes, Speyside. Known for light, floral single malts, Glen Grant has a long history of innovation. Major James Grant, son of one of the founders, installed electric lighting, making it one of the first distilleries to do so. His designs for tall stills with purifiers created a lighter, crisper spirit.

The Glen Grant 10 Year Old, the distillery’s signature expression, delights with notes of orchard fruits, vanilla, and almonds. Glen Grant sources water from the Caperdonich Well. The distillery uses eight pot stills, producing about 5.9 million liters of whisky annually. The Victorian gardens, designed by Major James Grant, remain a visitor attraction.

In 2006, Gruppo Campari acquired Glen Grant, ushering in a new era. Today, Glen Grant is one of the top-selling whisky brands worldwide, especially popular in Italy. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, exploring the distillery’s heritage and beautiful gardens, and taste exquisite single malts.
