Edradour Distillery
Founded in 1825, Edradour Distillery is situated in Pitlochry, Perthshire, in the heart of Scotland. It is renowned as one of the smallest traditional distilleries in Scotland, producing handmade single malt whisky. Edradour uses water from the Ben Vrackie Springs, contributing to the whisky’s distinctive character. The distillery employs two small pot stills, which result in an output of approximately 100,000 liters per year. This small-scale production allows Edradour to maintain a high level of craftsmanship and quality.
Edradour produces a wide variety of whiskies, including the classic unpeated range and the heavily peated Ballechin range. The distillery’s whisky is known for its rich and complex flavors, often aged in unique casks such as Burgundy, Sauternes, and Port, enhancing its depth and complexity. Visitors to Edradour can explore the distillery’s rich history and witness traditional whisky-making processes. Although the distillery is currently closed to the public, it remains a significant name in the world of Highland single malts.
