Dailuaine Distillery

Founded in 1852 by William Mackenzie, Dailuaine Distillery is in the Speyside region of Scotland. Known for its robust and meaty single malts, Dailuaine plays a significant role in the whisky industry. The distillery uses water from the Bailliemullich Burn and employs six large stills, which help create its distinctive spirit. Despite producing about 5.2 million liters of whisky annually, only around 2% is bottled as single malt, with most going into Johnnie Walker blends.

Dailuaine’s whiskies feature rich and complex flavors, often enhanced by aging in ex-sherry casks. The Flora & Fauna series includes a notable 16-year-old expression that highlights the distillery’s characteristic style. Visitors can explore the history and resilience of Dailuaine through its traditional methods and innovative practices.
