Over Kilchoman<\/h3>\n

Kilchoman Distillery is an independent whisky distillery located on the Scottish island of Islay. Founded in 2005, it is one of Scotland’s younger distilleries. Kilchoman combines traditional production methods with a strong connection to its island heritage and is particularly known for its distinctly peated single malt whiskies.<\/p>\n

Over deze botteling<\/h3>\n

Kilchoman Casado is a limited edition released in 2022. The name Casado<\/em>, Portuguese for ‘marriage’, refers to the distinctive process of bringing together whisky from different casks in large Portuguese red wine vats for a further two years.<\/p>\n

The whisky was initially matured for six years in 38 first-fill bourbon barrels filled in 2014. The contents were then transferred into two 6,000-litre Portuguese red wine vats, where they were married for a further two years. The result combines Kilchoman’s characteristic peat smoke with fruity and spicy red wine influences.<\/p>\n

Released in 2022, this bottling comes at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring.<\/p>\n
