About The Glenrothes
The Glenrothes Distillery was founded in 1879 and is located in Rothes, in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside region. The distillery is renowned for its fruity single malts and its particular attention to the selection and quality of its oak casks.
Sherry-seasoned oak plays an important role in The Glenrothes house style, contributing to its characteristic combination of fruity, sweet and spicy aromas.
Over deze botteling
The Glenrothes 12 Years Old is part of the Soleo Collection, a range of single malts celebrating the influence of sherry and the traditional Soleo process in Jerez.
This 12-year-old single malt is matured exclusively in carefully selected sherry-seasoned oak casks, using both American and European oak. The maturation creates a soft and fruity character, with distinctive notes of vanilla, banana, melon and cinnamon.
The whisky is bottled at its natural colour and at 40% ABV.
