Description
We’re excited to unveil the latest Vintage: Panama 2008, featuring a stunning new design. This edition’s theme is ‘Under the sea animals’, and the first launch showcases a whale on the label. If you’re a dedicated Plantation enthusiast like us, you’ll likely collect future Vintage releases too. The reward is spectacular: once you gather all the ‘Under the sea animals’ Vintages, they create a beautiful fresco when placed side by side. While completing the collection requires patience, this first release is a must-have!
Panama 2008 features a fermentation period of 2 to 3 days before distillation in a Column Still back in 2008. It then aged tropically for 12 years in Bourbon barrels, followed by a final year of continental aging in Cognac Ferrand barrels, a typical practice for Plantation. The nose offers a mix of fruity and spicy aromas, including red berries, peaches, orange zest, and nutmeg, which intensifies over time with hints of lemongrass and white pepper. The palate enjoys flavors of honey, red apple, and toasted hazelnuts, complemented by a subtle toffee taste. Panama 2008 finishes with a spicy, chocolatey aftertaste.
