About Highland Park
Highland Park Distillery was founded in 1798 and is located in Kirkwall, on the Orkney Islands north of mainland Scotland. It is one of Scotland’s most northerly whisky distilleries.
Highland Park is renowned for its combination of heathery peat smoke, honeyed sweetness and the influence of sherry-seasoned oak casks. A distinctive feature of the distillery is its traditional floor malting, where a proportion of the barley is malted on-site using local Orkney peat.

Highland Park 12 Years Old Viking Honour is a classic expression from the distillery’s core range. The name Viking Honour pays tribute to the Viking heritage and Scandinavian cultural influences of the Orkney Islands.
This 12-year-old single malt is matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks. The combination of honeyed malt, fruity sherry influences, warming spices and subtle peat smoke creates Highland Park’s recognisable balance.

- Palate: Rounded and full-bodied, combining honeyed malt, fruitcake and warming spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves are accompanied by citrus and the characteristic gentle peat smoke.
- Finish: Pleasantly long and gently smoky, with lingering heather honey sweetness and subtle spicy notes.
