On 17 December 2020, we submitted our planning application, and on 23 May 2021, we were finally allowed to put up the well-known yellow permit notice. One month later, the renovation officially began.
The very first job? Removing wall plaster, the suspended ceiling and the insulation located nearly ten metres above the ground. We hesitated for quite some time: should we rent scaffolding or buy it? At the time, we had no idea how often we would need it. In the end, we decided to buy our own.
Looking back, it turned out to be the best investment of the entire renovation. The scaffolding proved indispensable and was used throughout almost every stage of the project.
